After a shaky start, Coach Crawford and the Earthquakes got on a roll. They finished the season 7-2 (though no one was keeping score, right? I was! We outscored opponents 51-8).
Here is Coach Crawford giving his team their last pregame pep-talk. This is what he told them:
"This is our last game of the season. Can't hold anything back."
I will say that for a group of 3 and 4 year-olds they did very well. Some of the other teams were all over the place. We watched other teams lay on the ground, play tag, and even run off the field.
After the game we had a team pizza party. What a cute team! (Cute? What's up w/ that? No one wants to be known as the "cute" team. We were 7-2, how bout fierce or indomitable? Honestly, cute? C'mon!)

Here He is passing out the trophies.
It was a lot of fun to watch Austin play soccer. I love being a "soccer"mom. It was also a lot of fun watching Jason coach. He definitely grew more comfortable in that role as the season went on. He was a trooper, this was a job that I volunteered him for. If he hadn't done it none of these kids would have had the opportunity to play. Not only did he do it, but he did a great job. He did so awesome that the other parents nominated him to be the T-ball coach. Or maybe none of them wanted to coach T-ball. I am going to go with the good job theory.
